The largest of the islands at 48 square miles is Middle Caicos - an outstanding area of natural beauty which also can boast having the UK’s largest Ramsar sites for protected wetlands and possibly one of the largest areas of natural habitat left in the Caribbean.

The population of 275 people live in the three settlements on the island, Conch Bar, Bambarra and Lorimers. The coastline around the island, which used to be called Grand Caicos and will be again, because of its size, is more dramatic that that of the other islands; to the north there are limestone cliffs, rocky outposts and sandy beaches, to the south the landscape is mostly wetlands and tidal flats. Inland, the island is green and lush, ideal for agricultural development.

Middle Caicos is also home to the largest cave network in the northern Caribbean. The huge limestone caves feature stalactites, stalagmites, bats, owls and salt lakes that link to the sea. Lucayan artifacts found in these caves suggest that this network was used as either a shelter or as a sacred place.

The island is steeped in history, plantation ruins lie in the woodlands. For nature lovers, a frigate bird colony on the south side of the island is home to flamingos, egrets and sand pipers and just off-shore, a large blue hole in the water, features an abundant variety of marine life.

Middle Caicos is an eco-tourism haven. Recent success stories include the development of two craft cooperatives, catering outlets, the creation of the rambling trail, cave excursions and a vast increase in day-trippers coming for ecotourism excursions. Our Sport fishing and Snorkeling enterprises have flourished drastically because of our vast successes both offshore with Tuna & Dolphin as well as our inshore successes with huge Bonefish, Snapper and Grouper....

We are currently exploring the creation of a locally financed private road to the South Shore which will open our Blue Hole to divers, Man-O-War Bush, our Frigate Bird Nesting Spot to Bird Lovers and Bone fishing Galore to our impending hoards of Divers and Fly fisherman. I can't guarantee that this will happen overnight but those of you that know me can assure yourselves, we will make it happen.....

For a PEEK AT OUR CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS, Take a look at the attached photo's. Click on each photo for full scale appreciation. Weeks of May 25th thru August 20th, 2010. This is amazing progress considering this is a Tri-Plex of 5,148 Sq Ft building being constructed on an island in the middle of the Caribbean.

On July 7th, we poured the final footers and then poured the cistern walls on the week of the 13th. On August 31st, we poured the tank top and installed the basic water, sewer, electrical and air conditioning pipe and conduit.

She'll go fast from here... She went under roof on the 20th of March....HAVE YOU GOTTEN YOUR RESERVATION AND DEPOSIT IN PLACE ??? These won't last and we are already under contract on the Western Unit...

We are hanging sheetrock and painting ceilings, electric is installed in West Side as is Air Conditioning. Now plastering downstairs entranceway and awaiting delivery of fancy Oak Staircase and Railings that arrived in Provo this Saturday, June 12th.
